Weekend football round-up four teams play for third place

Lincoln Red Imps face St Joseph FC.

St Joseph come to the match having beaten last week Europa FC, Lincolns main rivals for top spot on the table. St Joseph FC this week completed the signing of defender José Duran Rodriguez from Cádiz CF B and midfielder Ignacio David Pérez Varea from UD Los Barrios. Lincoln, already six points in the lead are expected to have two key players missing with Liam Walker said to be injured.

St Joseph’s who are drawn on 23 points with Britannia, Lions and Lynx could drop to mid table if they lose. 

Britannia XI face Manchester 62, the latter having improved their form from the start of the season and coming into the match with two consecutive victories under their belt. Britannia who are drawn in points with Lynx, St Joseph’s and Lions will be hoping to grab all three points expecting one of the others to fall. A win could put them 3rd in the table.

On Sunday Gibraltar United play Lynx in what could turn out to be an exciting match. Lynx drawn in points will be looking to take all three points. Gibraltar United who come to the match having tasted victory against relegation strugglers Glacis United are expected to come in a buoyant mood.
