Grammarians Girls prove their worth

The young Grammarians ladies hockey team proved their worth in what was a very fast paced, competitive 7 a-side tournament last night at the Victoria Stadium hockey pitches.

With two sides from the visiting RAF selection, Hawkes and Eagles (both due to represent Gibraltar in the European field) also playing the Grammarians girls came back from having recently lost 8-0 to Hawles at 11 aside, to prove their metal in the sport.

The clash between Hawkes and Eagles ended with a Hawks victory.

Eagles were the only team to hold the RAF A side by drawing against them 1-1, and then doing the same with the B side 0-0.

Grammarians 2 – 0 Hawks

Grammarians 0 – 2 RAF A

Grammarians 2 – 1 RAF B

Grammarians 2 – 0 Eagles

Hawks 1 – 3 RAF B

Hawks 3 – 1 Eagles

Hawks 1 – 2 RAF A

Eagles 1 – 1 RAF A

Eagles 0 – 0 RAF B
