Eagles started strong very much with a small local crowd of young students cheering them on from the start. The Lithuanian side however pressed hard on them pushing them into their half for first quarter of an hour.
Eagles seemed nervy and holding back whilst the visiting team were passing more comfortably in the first half hour. The local team were having difficulty passing the halfway line with much effectiveness. However, they were holding on well giving few clear chances at the back even though the pressure was upped towards the end of the first half.
At half time Eagles were still 0-0 with Tauras.
Eagles started first couple minutes with saves from their keeper keeping them in the game. Just as soon they upped their game. Soon getting their confidence going and started prodding at Tauras’ defence.
Eagles had turned the tide in their favour with most of the play in Tauras’s half as Eagles pressed forward. The nerves seemingly gone.
Eagles had the better of the play in the second half breaking fast from the back, tackling harder in the middle and pressing much higher.
Eagles were however forced to defend in numbers when Tauras attacked with a lack of quick pace upfront forcing them not to take advantage of quick breaks.
With the match just with five minutes left both teams went for a win. Neither team were able to score leaving the score at 0-0.
