Eagles were facing their biggest test to date playing Nacka, the Swedish side that had beaten their arch rivals Hawks the previous evening.

Eagles playing in their away orange played a patient game in defense, absorbing the pressure and letting The Swedish Nacka team play in their area. Not panicking they controlled from the back, slowing their pace to their needs.

Back, though seemingly having the better of play made little progress in front of goal giving Eagles few scares. The price to pay for Eagles was their defense were taking the hits, in some cases quite literally. Two players having to leave the pitch injured in the first half. One of them requiring stitches to their hand.

As Nacka tired, and their confidence wained Eagles showed they could be devastating up front. With two minutes to go Eagles had the clearest chance at goal with the ball scrambled away from the goal line somehow by Nacka.

With the score goal less Eagles started the second half much the same way as the first defending. Holding tight at the back but not panicking.

With 21 minutes left on the clock Buhagiar brought the some 150 plus crowd to their feet as she stole a pass in the middle. A quick break saw her beat the defense and round the keeper for the 1-0. The stadium was buzzing as the small crowd were now looking at a possible Eagles win.

Nacka found themselves looking for an opportunity they had not before. As they pushed their lines up Eagles pressed on them counter attacking at each opportunity, opening the field as they did.

Eagles patience had started to pay off as

Nacka tired and found themselves chasing on counters. Buoyed by the crowd behind them a break brought a second goal for Eagles with ten minutes left on the clock. Nacka were now trailing 2-0.

Nacka now had to do the running as Eagles played to their counter attacking and holding style they had played throughout. It was Eagles who had the further chances as Nacka fought a losing battle to try and claw back the score.

Eagles won 2-0 giving them now a chance to top the table if they beat their arch rivals Hawks.
