Europa lose in last match

Europa who had little to play for with an eye on next week’s Rock Cup Final lost to a penalty from Martin this evening in their end of season clash with Lions.

In other matches this weekend, Britannia lost 10-0 against Lincoln ensuring they will now have to play in the relegation play-offs and hope to win if they are to stay in the first division.

Gibraltar United for their part came back from 2-0 down to draw against Manchester 62, whilst St Joseph’s and Lynx played it out for honours.

In what was probably the most exciting match of the weekend, St Joseph’s beat Lynx 4-2 after seeing how their one goal lead had been over turned early in the second half.

The match ended in controversy when a Lynx player was red carded after the match had ended following an incident with the officials.

Lynx had played well throughout and looked at taking the match. However, they were caught out at the back when St Josephs broke through quickly through the middle to score at the end.

Next week will see the Rock Cup Final between Lincoln Red Imps and Europa FC.
