The final match of the women’s league was momentarily marred by the behaviour of a minor group that led to a disturbance within the area where a small group of fans had gathered in the stands. Just minutes after Manchester 62 scored their first of two goals against Europa FC the commotion saw play come to a standstill as players halted play.
Police attended and the match resumed normally with Manchester clinching their final win. They were later presented with their trophy.
The disturbance was believed to be unrelated to either team according to witnesses.
