Get ready for sport. After weeks of sport coming quite literally to a standstill we have a packed weekend ahead with some of the main sports kicking off as from the weekend.
It all kicks off this weekend with the Veterans Football ‘Charity Shield’ from 10am onwards at the Tercentenary Hall, Sunday 24th September.

At the same time in the area of Eastern Beach the Triathlon will be holding their annual Triathlon competition which will see the area from the MOT to the old Motorcycle club closed to traffic as participants take to the road in some of the events.
Sunday will also see hockey return with Grammarians and Eagles scheduled to play against four visiting Spanish sides.
Just incase you are bored Sunday see the start of the domestic football season with the Pepe Reyes Cup which sees League Champions Europa take on Lincoln Red Imps their closest rivals.
Throughout the week netball will also return with the Netball Extravaganza and Netball Senior Quads.
Domestic league season will also kick off on Monday with matches throughout the week. The first evening will see two premier matches taking place.
Then on the 1st October the GFA will be holding their Grass Roots Fun day which will include
