Coresportgib’s Who’s Who – Michel Salgado – No.2

Miguel Ángel “Míchel” Salgado Fernández (born 22 October 1975) is a retired Spanish professional footballer who played as a right back during his playing days in Spain.

His career not only saw him play in Real Madrid for close to a decade winning the UEFA Champions League with them he was also capped 53 times with Spain, taking part in the Euro 2000 and the 2006 FIFA World Cup.
After his time at Real Madrid he played for Blackburn Rovers in the Premier league at the age of 34.
In May this year he took over Gibraltar United along with Victor Dana.

A newly reinforced Gibraltar United will play their first league match under Salgado on Monday against Lynx FC, now coached by former National team coach Allen Bula.
